Mr. Badri B. Chalabi
He was born in Baghdad Iraq, November 9, 1928. He was an accomplished engineer holding Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Both of these degrees he accomplished at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois USA.

Within his multitude of accomplishments he published and presented several papers on engineering related subject matters in international conferences. He also translated “Heat Transfer" By Holman (1985), from English to Arabic.

He was a fastidious believer in the power of education and its necessity and he would always emphasize this when advising those of the younger generation:
“All should keep reading, to learn and keep abreast of progress in science and life. This progress is extremely fast paced and not easy to keep up with. Study always lest this progress leave you behind.”

His passing was on Saturday, the 9th of July in the year 2011. He is survived by his wife, Najla Souz Chalabi; and his son, Duraid; and daughters, Ban and Layla; brother Munir; and sisters, Widad and Sanaa. Preceded in death by his brothers, Mohammed and Jamil; and sister, Zahra.

He was adored by all and will be missed by all.

Services were held at:
